The first day of Fall is upon us. And I’m sure, like us here at Hairvivi, you’re probably wondering what the 2022 Fall hair trends will look like. Not to worry. We went digging for you – well, mostly for us but we’re happy to share what we’ve found.

So, where did we start? Well, one of the easiest ways to predict what trends are coming is to look toward the runway. The Fall New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and other shows were recently completed. And let’s just say, we noticed the trends, and we are going to enjoy these Fall hair trends for 2022. You will too.

The 90s are making a comeback with its waves and curtain bangs

It’s like the 90s never left – when it comes to hairstyles, that is. A bouncy blow-out or layered beach waves – the runway sported several 90s-inspired looks, especially with the Chanel Fall-Winter collection. And it had curtain bangs – very much 90s, very much like several of the looks sported by models for Tadashi Shoji at NYFW and among the L’Agence Fall collection for NYFW.

The key to getting this look is having thick layers, like in this 160% medium-density wavy lace wig designed with curtain bangs. So, you don’t need a stylist to get the look whenever you want this Autumn.

Warm tones for the cool days

As the weather cools, it’s time to heat things up with warmer, richer colors. This means either dyeing your hair if you’re not a natural redhead or getting a colored wig that matches the expectations for Autumn 2022.

This warm brunette long lace front wig is a great one to get started. Or, if you’d prefer a warmer, more reddish tone, then consider our ginger-brown human hair lace front. The shades complement Fall colors and will be a warm addition to your styling choices, as we’ve seen throughout several of the Fall collections hitting the runways.

Centre parts are still in

Daniel Avakian NYFW was the first to use virtual models for the NYFW experience. And we noticed that his models uniformly sported center parts. Whether it was an up-do, bun, or sleekly down, there was a center part. So, we started paying closer attention to the other fashion houses. And yes, several of them sported similar center part looks.

Guess what that means for you and the Fall/Winter season coming up? Center parts.

Of course, you can easily get the look with a lace front straight wig or use one from our wavy wig collection. Both sleekly straight and waves hairstyles are trending for Fall so you can’t go wrong with either if you want the middle part look.

Colors make a statement

  • Shadow roots

The Versace fashion show had several models styled with shadow roots. With this style, you don’t need as many color touch-ups at the salon. Simply get the color you’d prefer neatly applied at the top or midway down and let it grow out.

Or you can get this look without bleaching and dyeing your own hair with this blonde lace front wig. The color gradually and evenly lightens as it moves from root to tip.

  • Face-framing highlights

In an interview with Glamour, celebrity colorist Matt Rez stated that a face-framing highlight is a great way to maintain some of your summer brightness as you head into Fall. L’Agence also clearly thought of this when they showcased their 2022 Fall Collection with a few face-framing highlights thrown in the mix of their styles.

And you can do the same without the need for upkeep with this gorgeous brown wig with face-framing blonde streaks.

Ponytails are coming in hot

A low, sleek ponytail accentuates your look and style rather than taking away from it. We see this style employed many times on the runway and New York Fashion Week highlighted that even more.

Elle.com noted that artistic director Kevin Hughes chose to use ponytails throughout the Bronx and Banco collection showcase. Several other brands utilized the style throughout New York Fashion Week as well. You can get that similar experience with a ponytail designed to accentuate, not detract.

You can style your favorite Hairvivi wig into a low ponytail, whether you prefer to sport a wavy lace front wig or a sleek and straight wig.

Headbands are a hair trend hit for Fall

Several models sported headbands for NYFW, including Ashley Park in a very eye-catching floral number.

So, choose your favorite lace front wig (we recommend wavy or straight looks for the Autumn based on current trends) and stock up on the prettiest floral headbands to accentuate your look and keep a bit of color in your style.
