Halloween-Inspired looks – 5 Halloween Hairstyles for African Americans
It’s one of our favorite times of the year – Halloween. It’s where we get to act like a kid again with fun costumes and hairstyles.
But a Halloween costume isn’t complete without the right hairstyle to match.
If you’re a Black American like myself, you’ll definitely want to give one of these 5 Halloween-inspired looks a try with one of our lace front wigs. (As a bonus, they are also hairstyles you can rock on a daily basis but can double as a Halloween costume).
1. Lion or Cat Hair
Want to rock a lion or cat costume? You’ll want to showcase a head full of nice bouncy curls to achieve this look.
All you’ll need is a curly wig for your mane and an ears headband to match.
Simply install your curly hair wig and add your ears headband.
We have a lot of curly wigs to choose from, but our Hairvivi Aubre Curly Human Hair Wig or the Natalia Blonde Curly Wig means you’ll have most of the work done for you – they’re already perfectly curled and highlighted just like a mane.
2. Wonder Woman
For the wonder woman look, apart from the costume, you’ll need long waves with a side part.
Simple enough look to achieve, right? All you’ll need is a high-quality human hair wig with highlights and loose curls or a natural black wig with bouncy waves. Then, create a side part, and swoop the hair over and to the side.
3. Black Widow
It’s easy enough to find the costumes to create a black widow outfit. For the hair, you can choose one of her many iconic hairstyles, from the middle-part bob to the short curly look, or the long bouncy curls – depending on which one of the movies she’s in.
You can choose to go full red as she often does, or just get the same style in a less bright color – like the Bambi short curly hair that she wears in Avengers.
4. Trudy From the Proud Family
Want to take it cartoon style? Then here’s an easy one for you.
A chic bob look with bangs is rather easy to achieve with Hairvivi’s bob wigs, @ty.marrah is wearing the Kylie human hair bob wig and clip in bangs from Hairvivi, but cut the bob wig shorter to get a chin-length bob look. And the clip in bangs from Hairvivi allow 2 looks in 1 wig attainable easily.
5. 90s Retro Look - Half Up Half Down
The simplest of our hairstyles today – the classic half up half down hairstyle for Halloween. It’s the perfect last-minute hairstyle if you didn’t remember that you were heading out for a Halloween party.
The half up half down hairstyle pairs well with a full body suit if you need costume ideas. You can use your hair if it’s long enough, or a ponytail wig.
You can also modernize the look by braiding back the hair for a cornrow ponytail. (Works well with a Wakanda costume.)
